A team of researchers in the UGA College of Education is creating the next generation of science curriculum, using touch screens, digital animation and storyboards, thanks to a grant from the National Institutes of Health.

Tate to show ‘Big Hero 6’
“Big Hero 6,” a 3-D computer-animated superhero fantasy-comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, will be shown Jan. 30 through Feb. 1 at 3, 6 and 9 p.m. in Tate Theatre. The film is inspired by the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name.
Men’s tennis team to host PAC 12 Showdown
The men’s tennis team will play UCLA Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. and USC Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. The matches are part of the SEC-PAC 12 Showdown.
Theatre staging ‘A Lesson Before Dying'
The University Theatre will present "A Lesson Before Dying," adapted to the stage by Romulus Linney from the acclaimed novel by Ernest J. Gaines and directed by George Contini. Performances will be held in the Seney Stovall Chapel Feb. 3-8 at 8 p.m. with a matinee Feb. 8 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for the general public and $7 for students.
