Scientist to discuss ‘Value of Nature’


Heather Tallis, lead scientist at The Nature Conservancy, will lecture on “Nature as Normal: Rethinking the Value of Nature for Clean Water, Free Time and Education” Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. in the ecology building auditorium. A reception precedes the seminar at 3:30 p.m. in the lobby.

Volleyball team to host Alabama


The volleyball team will play the University of Alabama Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. in Stegeman Coliseum.


Fair to showcase volunteer opportunities
The UGA Volunteer Fair will be held Sept. 23 from noon to 5 p.m. in the Grand Hall at Tate Student Center. The fair provides an opportunity for organizations and community members to connect with each other in order to match volunteers with community needs. Many organizations from UGA and some Athens community partners will be in attendance.
