The University of Georgia will launch a series initiatives to enhance students' academic experiences. The initiatives will focus on streamlining time to graduation; fostering readiness for employment, graduate or professional school; and enhancing UGA's ability to recruit world-class graduate students while expanding access to graduate programs.

UGArden to host South by South Milledge event
The South by South Milledge concert and dinner will be held April 22 at 5 p.m. at UGArden, 2500 S. Milledge Ave. The event, which is part of UGA Earth Week, is a celebration of music, sustainability and good food. Local music groups will be featured. Admission is $2.
Baseball team travels to Vanderbilt

Rubin to present Mason Lecture
Robert E. Rubin, co-chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations and former U.S. Treasury secretary, will deliver the Mason Public Leadership Lecture at 9:45 a.m. April 22 in the Chapel. The Mason Lecture is part of the Institute for Leadership Advancement's Terry Leadership Speaker Series. The lecture features prominent business leaders who have contributed significantly to their communities or spent time in a public service role.
