UGA alumnus Roger Hunter, associate director for programs at the NASA Ames Research Center, gave the undergraduate Commencement address on Dec. 19. "Though many of us are unlikely to walk on the Moon, or on Mars, we do walk this planet and we leave footprints in the lives of those we encounter," he said in his charge to UGA's newest alumni.

Museum sets holiday schedule
The Georgia Museum of Art will be closed Dec. 25-26, but otherwise will maintain regular museum hours during the holiday break: Open to the public Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m.–9 p.m.; Sunday, 1–5 p.m. Closed on Mondays.
Men’s basketball team to host Mercer
The men’s basketball team will play Mercer University Dec. 27 at 6 p.m. in Stegeman Coliseum. Tickets are $15. The SEC Network will televise the game.
UGA campus closed for the holidays
The University of Georgia campus will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 25 to Jan. 1. Campus offices will reopen on Jan. 2, and spring semester classes will begin Jan. 5. Have a safe, healthy and happy holiday break.
