You can find out if you are represented by
looking at the
roster below. GSA encourages all departments and student
organizations to send multiple representatives to our
GSA Council meetings. With more than one representative, it increases
the proportion of graduate students represented as a whole
and allows for representatives who miss a meeting to still
send someone from their department or organization. Some
departments have a formal process for electing someone to
represent their interests in GSA, other departments are
represented by whomever has the interest and dedication to
their fellow graduate students to volunteer. GSA strongly
encourages you to be a representative. The ability of GSA to
truly represent the interests of all graduate and
professional students depends upon your participation.
If you are already set to be a GSA
representative, thank
you. We look forward to hearing your ideas and concerns at
the GSA Council meetings. If your
department or organization is not
represented, then volunteer to be a representative! No
experience is necessary - just a willingness to work with
other graduate students like yourself. The commitment is
simply to ask people within your department about their
interests and concerns, and to communicate those interests
and concerns at the GSA Council meetings. You are also expected to
attend our four (4) meetings per semester and to forward all
GSA email messages to your department or organization
listserv. You can get access to department listservs through
your graduate coordinator or advisor. GSA is currently
working towards automatic access for all students to our
listserv so everyone has information current issues,
concerns, and discussions. Thank you.
If you want to join the GSA Council, please
fill out the form below and hit the "send" button.
Below is a list of all departments
offering
graduate/professional degrees around campus. All current
representatives are listed. Departments
without representatives are listed in red because we need representatives from these
departments! (P.S. Let us know if we
missed your department - and consider being your department's
representative!)
