If you don't have your health...

Whether it's mid-terms, end-of-semester deadlines, or just life in grad school, graduate and professional students experience a great deal of stress. Find out what steps you can take to stay healthy when the heat is on:

Updates have recently been made to the University Health Center Graduate Guide to Good Health, a website specifically geared towards the needs of graduate students at UGA. Topics for the November issue include our Featured Clinic, information on the new student insurance plan and the Health Center’s flu shot policy for this year’s flu season. We also ask that you take some time to fill out the graduate student survey to let us know what you would like to see on the site in the future. Visit the website today! http://www.uhs.uga.edu/graduateguide.

  • The University Health Center has other online resources specifically aimed at managing stress, nutrition, and meditation.

Tell Us Your Story

Have you had a bad experience that you can't talk about publicly for fear of departmental reprisal? Do you want to complain about the handling of your health insurance claim without sharing every private detail of your illness? Whatever your experience or concern, we recognize that sometimes you need to be able to speak up while keeping your head down. That's why GSA has created a new Tell Us Your Story page that allows you to submit your concerns in total anonymity. If you tell us your story, we can use it as evidence for a problem that needs to be addressed... and maybe prevent future grad students from having to tell the same kind of story.

Gimme Shelter

Did you arrive in Athens just a tad behind the curve on the whole housing situation? Do you find yourself looking around the apartment you arranged by phone and thinking that you need new digs for next semester? Thinking ahead to next year's homestead? Check out our housing in Athens resource page.
