She has served as a research assistant on the Freedom on Film: Civil Rights in Georgia project since the summer of 2007. Her research interests include nineteenth-century African American education, U. S. Women's History, and African American history. Through the support of the Spencer Foundation that funds research in education, she plans to complete a dissertation that examines the pedagogies of black and white women teachers during the Reconstruction Era. |
