Graduated Clemson University with a B.A. in History in 2005 and an M.A. in History in 2007. Research focuses on Southern culture, specifically Southern honor and Evangelical Revival in the Early Republic and Antebellum era. Master's thesis entitled "Fighting for Revival: Southern Honor and Evangelical Revival in Edgefield County, South Carolina, 1800-1860"
