UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA BULLDOGS HOCKEY FLASH:

The 1998-'99 University of Georgia Hockey Team completed another successful & exciting season compiling a 13-10-1 overall record. The ICE DAWGS also participated in "The Rumble in the Rink" Tournament held in Savannah, GA. The tournament drew a combined 8000 spectators during the January weekend event. The UGA Bulldogs battled to 3rd place of the CHS regular season schedule with a 11-3-1 record. The ICE DAWGS were represented in the 1999 CHS ALLSTAR game by #5 -Forward- Jon Hokanson, #97 -Forward- John Hoos, #19 -Defenseman- Jeremiah Blankenship, #8 -Defenseman- Chuck MacPhee, #3 -Defenseman- Joe Barry, & #30 -Goaltender- Tommy Tordik !!!!..... Thank you for all fan support & participation !!!!...... We hope to see you all next season as the UGA ICE DAWGS 2000 continue the pride & tradition of the Georgia Bulldog Ice Hockey Program into the new millenium !!!! BATTLE ON & GO DAWGS!!!!.........

Welcome to the OFFICIAL webpage of the UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA BULLDOG ICE HOCKEY TEAM. The ICE DAWGS have been established since the 1987-'88 season. The UGA ice hockey tradition continues on towards the new millenium.

The GEORGIA BULLDOG hockey program is looking forward to lacing up the skates & hitting the ice this fall. The 1999-2000 ICE DAWG hockey season begins in the month of October. With the return of solid veterans, seasoned rookies, and new additions, the BULLDOGS will make a run at another exciting hockey season. The ICE DAWGS have joined the newly formed COLLEGE HOCKEY SOUTH (CHS) and will placed in the Northern Division. In additional to league games, UGA will matched-up against other southern collegiate hockey teams. GEORGIA will faced-off against FLORIDA, TENNESSEE, VANDERBILT, SOUTH FLORIDA, CENTRAL FLORIDA, EMBRY-RIDDLE, FLORIDA STATE, CLEMSON, NORTH CAROLINA STATE, and cross-town rival GEORGIA TECH !!!

On January 8th & 9th 1999, UGA participated in a tournament hosted by the Sports Council and Chamber of Commerce Savannah at the Savannah Civic Center in Savannah, GA. A combined 8000 spectators attended the weekend event & watched the four university teams do battle on the ice.
