Joining the Council
The Student Academic Honesty Council offers an interactive and challenging learning environment designed for students who wish to develop personal leadership skills, serve the University community, and better understand the values of honesty, personal integrity, and high ethical standards. It also offers an opportunity to work with peers, faculty at the University, and dedicated staff professionals.
In the first weeks of each semester, University students interested in joining the Council may apply for membership. Because of the important and serious nature of the Council’s purpose, students applying should embody the values of the organization and be willing to contribute their time in service to the University.
Once accepted, new members are provided with orientation and training regarding “A Culture of Honesty,” and may be asked to serve as Honesty Panelists and/or Honesty Educators according to their interests and abilities.
