ACADEMIC HONESTY RESOURCES

Every student must agree to abide by the University’s academic honesty policy, “A Culture of Honesty,” when applying for admission to the University of Georgia.  This policy and the University’s Student Honor Code work in tandem to define a climate of academic honesty and integrity at the University.

Academic Honesty Process
All members of the University community have a responsibility to uphold and maintain an honest academic environment and to report dishonesty when it occurs.  Where suspected violations of the academic honesty policy occur, appropriate procedures are designed to protect the integrity of the academic process while ensuring due process.   The University's academic honesty system is an academic process founded on educational opportunities.
The Office of the Vice President for Instruction is responsible for managing the University's academic honesty process.  It also supports the Student Academic Honesty Council’s efforts to share information related to the policy with all members of the University community.

Activities, Events and Programs

The Student Academic Honesty Council engages in a number of activities, events and programs through the academic year to share information about academic honesty.

Student Academic Honesty Council

As ambassadors for academic honesty, the members of the Student Academic Honesty Council engage in leadership training, service projects promoting “A Culture of Honesty” in the University community, and honesty awareness events around campus.
