The HONS 1000H course serves as an introduction to the Honors Program and is required for all first-year Honors students during their first fall semester.
The course introduces students to campus life by surveying University and Honors philosophy, policies, and procedures; exploring the range of events and services offered on campus; and serving as a forum in which students can ask questions and share experiences with fellow university students, faculty, and mentors in the establishment of a shared experience and sense of community.
Students develop a portfolio that will serve as a planning document and will aid in the development of applications and other academic/professional documents in the future.
