ABOUT CURO-AP
The CURO Apprentice Program (CURO-AP) creates research partnerships between students (freshman and sophomores) and faculty research mentors.
Program Features

| Academic support and introduction to relevant campus services |
| Special activities including research symposia and guest lecturers |
| Learning skills workshops including the use of specific software programs, the Internet for research, library research, and research writing skills |
| Entrance open only to students as incoming first years |

Time Commitment
CURO-AP participation is similar to taking a 3 credit hour class or having a part-time job. URAP students work an average of 10-12 hours per week for the entire academic year. In addition, participants register for a 1-hour research seminar for academic credit that meets weekly.
Compensation
CURO-AP participants receive a stipend of $1000 per semester.
