The CURO Symposium is a day-long celebration of undergraduate research at the University of Georgia. A forum for academically qualified undergraduates to present original research and creative works sponsored by faculty mentors, the Symposium features Oral, Poster, and Creative and Performing Arts sessions, Art Gallery Talks, and a Keynote Address. Scholarly presentations may be in the form of an oral presentation, poster session, exhibition, performance, or work of art. The Symposium is held at the Classic Center in downtown Athens each year during the spring semester.
Eligibility
Undergraduate students from all disciplines possessing a 3.4 cumulative GPA are encouraged to apply. Criteria for Abstract Selection:
- Letter of support from supervising faculty mentor.
- Originality and quality of research
- Quality of written abstract
- Ethical and responsible research
- Extent of the undergraduate student’s involvement in development of the research design and execution of the project.
- Must go beyond work completed for a class paper or project
