Thesis Capstone
Honors students who choose to complete the Capstone required for graduation with High Honors and Highest Honors may do so by three different paths, one of which is the combination of an Honors Undergraduate Research Course (4960H, -70H, or -80H) with an Honors Undergraduate Thesis Course (4990H).

Benefits
- Honor Undergraduate Research Courses (4960H, -70H, or -80H) allow undergraduates an opportunity to create unique learning experiences, working one on one with a faculty mentor. In addition to gaining research experience, these courses prepare students to present at the CURO Symposium, national conferences, publish, and compose a Thesis. Students also find that their research prepares them for graduate and professional schools and distinguishes their applications for scholarship opportunities.
- The Honors Thesis offers a culminating experience for the undergraduate researcher, providing a lasting legacy of what each student has learned over the course of his or her college career. It is a hallmark of academic achievement. The Honors Thesis course (4990H) allows students to earn academic credit during the semester in which they are composing and editing their Honors Thesis.
