Freshman College Summer Experience Regularly admitted first-year students are eligible to participate in this unique summer program that streamlines the new student's introduction to the collegiate environment while delivering a total 6.0 hours of credit toward graduation. Students spend their time attending one of several introductory courses that fulfill core curriculum requirements in most every major, as well as in courses specifically designed to teach first-year students how to find and utilize the wealth of resources available at UGA. Enrollees are also granted early access to UGA housing; Freshman College participants are assigned rooms in Russell Hall that will keep not only for the summer program but through the following academic year as well.
