Conference Services

The Department of University Housing is pleased to offer summer guest lodging in UGA residence halls for:

  • Interns and visiting scholars.
  • Camps, conferences, and events sponsored by elements of the University of Georgia, the University System of Georgia, local/state governments and the United States government.
  • Educational camps, conferences, and events sponsored by community groups and civic organizations.

UGA Housing is now accepting applications for summer 2008!

When:
Opening Date: Monday, May 19, 2008
Closing Date: Sunday, July 27, 2008

Accommodations:
Most of the University of Georgia's residence halls will be available for use by Summer Conference guests, which include a variety of room types, building sizes and levels of bathroom privacy. However the majority of the rooms we can provide include use of traditional “community” bathrooms, where all of the guests on a wing or a floor share a large centralized bathroom. Reed Hall and Soule Hall feature “suite”-style semi-private bathrooms, however these spaces are limited in number.

Specific buildings that will not be available for Summer Conferences in 2008 include:

  • Oglethorpe House and the four halls in the East Campus Village, which will be utilized by enrolled UGA summer students.
  • The Oglethorpe House swimming pool will be closed in 2008 due to the drought.
  • Payne Hall will be closed for renovations and upgrades.
  • Other buildings may be off-line for some or all of the summer in order to facilitate renovations and upgrades.
  •

    Suite-Style Bath $31.50 $44.50
    • All prices are per guest per night.

A minimum of $1,000,000 per individual and $3,000,000 per incident for Property Damage and Personal Injury is required.  The Certificate of Liability Insurance must be received by the Department of University Housing no later than two weeks prior to any registrants taking residence in campus housing.
