The Hunker Down with Housing move-in celebration begins at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Residents may move into their fall spaces on Tuesday for an additional fee of $20.00 per night, or $40.00 for Tuesday and Wednesday. Additional fees are billed directly to each resident's Student Account.

Hunker Down with Housing continues on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Residents may move into their fall spaces on Wednesday for an additional fee of $20.00. Additional fees are billed directly to each resident's Student Account.

All residence halls open at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2008.

Brumby, Creswell, Hill, Myers and Russell Communities
Student residing in these communities should plan accordingly as stated in the below chart. An e-mail will be sent to each student through his/her UGA e-mail account prior to each closing with more detailed information.

Fall Break

• The residence halls will not close for Fall Break, 2008.

• Halls close at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2008.
• Halls reopen one hour after the end of the Georgia-Georgia Tech football game on Saturday, November 29, 2008.

• Halls close at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2008.
• Halls reopen at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2009.

• Halls close at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2009.
• Halls reopen at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2009.

• Traditional Halls & ECV's Building 1514 close at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2009.

• Halls close at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2009.

• Halls close for residents of Building 1514 at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2009.
• Graduating residents of Building 1514 must depart by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2009.
• Building 1512, McWhorter Hall and Rooker Hall remain open through the summer for all non-graduating residents. These halls will close at 10:00 a.m. on August 1, 2009 - the last day of the ECV 11.5 month contract.
