Other Services and Opportunities

Where can I eat on campus?
The UGA Food Services program is recognized as being one of the best in the nation. Maintaining fixed price and ala carte food service operations all over campus, their goal is to serve food in a courteous and friendly manner in pleasant surroundings. The University operates campus food services, but it is not a part of the Department of University Housing. Students may pay cash to eat at any of the dining halls or opt to purchase a meal plan. For more information on food services, call the UGA Food Services business office in Snelling Hall at 706-542-1256 or visit their website.

How do I get a parking permit? Where do I park my car?
Please visit the UGA Parking Services website or call 706-542-PARK to learn more about the parking rules and regulations.

How can I get around campus if I don't have a car?
UGA has an extensive transit system. In fact, it carries the highest volume of any University operated transit system in the United States. Access to the UGA bus system is provided through the student transportation fee. For more information, visit the Campus Transit web site.

What if I need special accommodations?
Some of the residence halls have been equipped to better meet the needs of students with disabilities. Please contact the UGA Disability Resource Center at 706-542-8719. They will conduct an assessment and forward their recommendation for your needs to the Housing Assignments Office.

How do I get signed up for Bulldog Bucks?
Bulldog Bucks is an online account based debit card program offered to the UGA campus community. Bulldog Bucks are accepted as payment at the Bookstore, Food Services Retail Operations, and at several other on-campus retail sites. In addition, Bulldog Bucks may be used to pay for copying, printing, vending, and laundry services in the residence halls. Click here to find out more about Bulldog Bucks.

Where can I get help?
There is an office or department on campus that can help you meet most any challenge: Academic assistance through University Housing. Medical assistance at the University Health Center. Psychological/Counseling assistance at the University Health Center. You can also search the entire University of Georgia website by clicking here.
