Don’t Just Attend Georgia, Live It!

The Department of University Housing provides comfortable, affordable and secure places where residents can receive support for academic success and personal growth. In addition to helping residents forge a lifelong network of friends and allies, living on campus also puts students at the heart of all that the University of Georgia has to offer, including the rich cultural programs, artistic performances, provoking lectures and sporting events that take place virtually every day of year.

Alan Goodno Because I lived in the residence halls thus far, I feel like I have experienced the true UGA. I have been able to meet many people from different walks of life. As a result, I think I have been exposed to more and know more about different cultures and viewpoints. Like the slogan for Housing, I not only got to attend Georgia, but I got to live Georgia.

Alan Goodno is a third-year student majoring in Accounting. He has lived in McWhorter Hall and Russell Hall and currently resides in Vandiver Hall.

Chassidy Mann By living on campus, I have been able to enhance my academic experience by relating to and working with other students with similar career and life goals. These relationships have been invaluable as well as applicable to my studies. Overall, living on campus has provided me with the essential support I needed to be successful in my community while simultaneously allowing me to maintain a strong sense of self.

Chassidy Mann is a third-year student majoring in Biology. She has lived in Brumby Hall and currently resides in Vandiver Hall.

These residents have acquired skills and built deep personal friendships that will serve them throughout their lives. If your student’s experiences in the residence halls have also been rewarding, please consider giving back by making a donation to the University Housing Development Fund. Your gift will support the department’s efforts to provide positive living and learning experiences to those students in on-campus housing, helping them to not just attend Georgia, but to live it!
