Reed Community
Reed Community is composed of Payne Hall, Reed Hall and Morris Hall. Payne
and Reed halls are located near the Tate Student Center, Sanford Stadium,
the Journalism- Psychology complex, and the Main Library. Morris Hall
is close to the Fine Arts building, Terry College of Business, Park Hall,
and the School of Law.
Residents of Reed Community are known for their involvement in countless
campus issues and activities. When they're not busy with their extracurricular
activities, they can often be found studying or lounging, or playing a
game of ultimate Frisbee on the Reed Quadrangle, a large grassy area bordered
by Reed, Memorial, and Milledge halls.
All three halls offer high-speed, in-room Internet access, lounges, study
rooms, kitchens, laundry facilities, and vending machines.
Payne and Reed halls are open year-round. Students who need housing during
break periods are encouraged to request housing assignments in these halls.
Morris Hall closes during all designated break periods: fall, Thanksgiving,
winter, spring and summer.
Morris, Payne and Reed Halls are coeducational. Visitors are allowed in
Payne and Reed Halls 24 hours a day, seven days a week - visitation option
"2".
Morris Hall features visitation option "1"; visitation permitted
Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., and 24 hours beginning
10:00 a.m. Friday to 2:00 am Monday (Sunday night).
