The Office of Public Affairs: Publications
The Publications unit of the Public Affairs office designs,
edits and prints publications for the Division of External
Affairs and the Office of the President. Ongoing projects
include the Georgia Magazine, Annual Report to Donors,
and publicity for events related to donor relations and advancement.

unit for design and editing assistance.

The Office of Public Affairs: News Service
The News Service unit of Public Affairs is
a staff of editors and designers who help the university community
produce professional Web sites and Web-enabled applications. Columns, UGA's official faculty-staff
newspaper, is produced in-house by the News Service.The News
Service also produces a number of Web sites including the UGA
gateway site, UGA Today, the Visitors Center, College of Public Health, the Graduate School, Safe and Secure,
and UGA at Gwinnett to name a few. Clients pay for costs related
to design, programming, and Web-development services.

UGA Printing
Department
The University Printing Department is designed and equipped
to provide quality offset printing services for all offices
and departments of the University and other state agencies.
Basic services include design assistance and consultation,
typesetting or imagesetting (from manuscript or word processing
disk or PostScript disk), negative and plate work, press work
and bindery/finishing work. The plant is staffed and equipped
to produce stationery, business cards, office forms, brochures,
booklets, programs, posters, journals and perfect-bound books.
The University Printing Department stores templates and stock official papers to produce UGA stationery, which can be ordered online. Their most-used forms can be found on Administrative
Forms Web Site—select "printing"
from the drop-down menu.
Research Media
Research Media, a support
facility within the Office of Research Services (ORS), provides
graphics and presentation support services to UGA researchers
and teaching faculty.

Central Duplicating Services
Central Duplicating was established for the purpose of providing low-cost, high-quality digital printing and duplicating services to all offices and departments established in the University's Chart of Accounts. This operation is equipped with high-volume duplication equipment and offers black and white or full color copies. A wide array of paper is stocked and various binding and finishing services are available.
Printing techniques include digital printing or duplication from original copy, electronic files on disk or via the network for such materials as letters, memoranda, pamphlets, booklets, folders, reports, and bulletins. The maximum sheet size to print is 12" x 18". Central Duplicating does not prepare or modify original copy for reproduction. It is a full-service digital printing facility but does not offer graphic design. Tate Student Center Print/Copy Services
Quick,
inexpensive print and copy services for students, Division
of Student Affairs departments, and registered student organizations
are available at Print & Copy Services, located at 121
Tate Student Center. Printing services include black or spot-color
printing and a variety of ways to finish documents. Copy services
include self-service, full-service, and full-color digital—everything
from brochures and forms to posters, business cards and newsletters.
