Why we exist

We exist to advance the interdisciplinary study of cognition at the University of Georgia. In recent years, UGA has been investing more and more in the brain and cognitive sciences:

One of our main goals is to encourage UGA to continue (and accelerate) its investment in programs like the above. By having an organization dedicated to discussing and promoting the work done within these programs, and more broadly, within the domains of investigation with which they identify, we believe we can accomplish this goal. And you can help us do so by joining our organization. As a member of IMBIA, you will take part in discussions and activities of great benefit and importance to the university, its students and faculty, and, we hope, to the brain and cognitive sciences as well.
