About UGA
Good deeds, delivered
Compete in a Global Economy
Some senior citizens would not be enjoying a meal today were it not for Stephen Olejnik and the Meals on Wheels program. UGA faculty and staff can contribute to Meals on Wheels or 1,200 other organizations through the 2012 Campaign for Charities.
Learning through service
Compete in a Global Economy
UGA students are getting valuable life experience connecting academic concepts learned in the classroom with real needs in the community.
The bigger picture
Compete in a Global Economy
For Michael Marshall, an associate professor of photography in the Lamar Dodd School of Art, all it took was one class to see the effect that public service and outreach has on students.
Real World
Compete in a Global Economy
Three UGA students turned a little girl’s wish into a class project and then made it real.
Above and beyond
Compete in a Global Economy
The Institute for Leadership Advancement (ILA) in the Terry College of Business was established to develop a new class of business and community leaders. For the founders, “new” meant more than the creation of a replacement pool for today’s leadership.
Lending a legal hand - across the globe
Compete in a Global Economy
Currently, there are thousands of people around the globe who are “stateless.”
