Brad Lindell

Senior Foundation Fellow Brad Lindell has yet to begin medical school, but he is already making contributions to the field. His volunteer work as a medical translation volunteer and as an ESL teacher through Catholic Social Services spurred him to develop a guide for medical professionals as they communicate with people whose native language is Spanish. Senior Melina Baetti is the president of the Hispanic Student Association. Under her leadership membership representation has grown to more than 15 countries. Cory Gresham

His may not be a household name, but one day graduate student Cory Gresham’s work may benefit all of humankind. Gresham is one of the first two students admitted to the Veterinary Medical Scientist Training Program (D.V.M./Ph.D.) at UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He works in the area of Comparative Medicine, with specific emphasis on developing and applying aquatic animal models relevant to human disease. Billy Yarbrough is working to help make a difference to African-American youth. He volunteers at AIDS Athens by running support groups for clients.
