Danielle Sobol

Danielle Sobol will graduate with Highest Honors during UGA’s spring Commencement ceremony in May. The Ball Ground native attributes her scholastic success to the opportunities UGA has provided her, including a teaching assistantship in the chemistry department, international education and numerous volunteer experiences.

A passion for advocacy, travel and learning about other cultures has given Laurie McGowan a sense of purpose for her life following graduation from UGA in May.  And the Columbus native credits all the different experiences she had at UGA for giving her this direction.

Even though graduation isn’t until May, Robert Culp already has secured employment with Credit Suisse - Investment Banking Division in New York starting in July.  Until then, he plans to enhance the passion for travel he developed when he became involved in UGA’s international education program by traveling to China with friends.

Matthew Lustig is as diverse as the university he attends.  From his studies in biology, to his commitment in UGA’s Army ROTC program and the Georgia Army National Guard, to his service with a homeless service agency and health clinic, and finally his involvement with UGA’s cheerleading squad and various music programs, Matthew is proud to be a part of the local university community.

Shayna Pollock

Shayna Pollock’s highlight while at UGA has been her experiences with the Roosevelt Institute, a student run think tank on campus.  Currently serving as executive director of the institute, Shayna has learned the value of research and policy, which led to her presenting at a CURO symposium on the global pesticide trade.

Graduating this spring with a degree in political science, Erich Hein is the past president of Demosthenian Literary Society, UGA’s oldest student organization. Eric plans to attend law school in the future.
