Patrick Fitzmaurice
From working with MATHCOUNTS Outreach and the Garnett Ridge Boys & Girls Club in Athens to traveling to Oxford University to spending a weekend in south Georgia as a Deer Run Fellow, Patrick Fitzmaurice found more than he ever dreamed possible at UGA.
Juliet Allan
When she graduates this fall, Elizabeth Allan will have traveled to six different continents thanks to various UGA study abroad programs. But that’s not her only accomplishment. She will also have three degrees—in Arabic, economics and international affairs and international policy.
Daniel Guidot
A passion for those less fortunate led Danny Guidot to help start a student chapter of MEDLIFE, a service organization dedicated to helping the impoverished. Danny plans to become a research physician in global health, specializing in pediatrics. In his free time, he volunteers at the Lay Community Center.
Andrea Sikora
Andrea Sikora had three primary academic goals when she came to UGA: study abroad, attend the College of Pharmacy and graduate with the Honors Capstone and CURO Scholar Distinction. And the Ohio native who graduated from The Walker School in Marietta has successfully met her goals.
Todd Pierson
A passion for all that the outdoors and nature offers is at the core of Todd Pierson’s existence. This Indianapolis, Indiana native relishes in his work in the Odum School of Ecology and his study abroad programs through UGA.
Juan Cardoza-Oquendo
Juan Carlos Cardoza-Oquendo may call Decatur, Ga., home, but it’s obvious he takes pride in his Hispanic heritage. Following graduation in spring 2012 and after receiving bachelor’s degrees in anthropology and human geography, he plans to work for the rights of workers and immigrants.
