Scientist to discuss ‘Value of Nature’


Heather Tallis, lead scientist at The Nature Conservancy, will lecture on “Nature as Normal: Rethinking the Value of Nature for Clean Water, Free Time and Education” Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. in the ecology building auditorium. A reception precedes the seminar at 3:30 p.m. in the lobby.

Bulldogs to host Troy


The UGA Bullldogs will host Troy University Sept. 20 at noon in Sanford Stadium. The SEC Network will televise the game.


Garrison Keillor performance postponed
Garrison Keillor's Sept. 24 appearance in Hodgson Concert Hall at the University of Georgia has been postponed due to surgery. Negotiations are under way with Keillor's management to reschedule the performance as soon as he recuperates from the medical procedure. Tickets purchased for Sept. 24 will be good for the rescheduled performance.
