The Office of International Public Service and Outreach (IPSO) encourages a broader understanding of our increasingly interdependent world and global economy. Through its programs of applied research, capacity building, training, and exchange, IPSO strives to extend the University of Georgia's (UGA) knowledge and expertise to address global challenges at home and abroad.

The Office facilitates faculty, staff, and student involvement in public service and outreach-oriented international programs and projects. IPSO links the vast expertise of UGA faculty and staff with international partners to address real world problems through collaborative donor-funded projects. Through its international outreach programs for students, IPSO is preparing a new generation of leaders for success in our global community.

IPSO specializes in building strategic partnerships and utilizing multidisciplinary approaches to address important international challenges. The Office focuses on bringing together UGA units with the private sector, NGOs, and community organizations to find collaborative solutions to complex global challenges impacting natural resources, health, food security, and education.

In Georgia, IPSO draws on UGA's international strengths and capabilities to serve the State. The Office brings together University and community resources to address critical issues in education, healthcare, and social services. Today, these partnerships and resulting programs are making a positive difference in the lives of people across the State.
