Featured speaker Dr. Beheruz N. Sethna
On Friday, April 3, 2009, the Office of International Public Service and Outreach (IPSO) presented its India Conference, titled "Interconnected Future: India and Georgia." The IPSO India Conference was designed to engage the university community with a population of new Georgians who have an economic, social and cultural impact on our state. The Conference was the launch of the IPSO India Initiative that consists of various structural components to engage students, faculty and community members with the Indian population residing in Georgia through symposia, workshops, travel opportunities, professional development, and cultural presentations.

About ninety-five people attended Friday's portion of the India Conference, including UGA faculty, staff, and students, members of the Athens Indian Community, and faculty and staff from other Georgia universities. The entire conference was video-recorded and will be posted online for future reference.
