Biomedical & Health Sciences Institute
The University of Georgia Biomedical & Health Sciences Institute works to expand the horizons of biomedical research in Georgia through programs in infectious disease, public health, molecular medicine and neuroscience.
Sponsor of India Conference Public Health Lecture
Center for Asian Studies
The Center for Asian Studies exists to nurture and guide academic programs and exchanges, primarily on Asia, for students, faculty, and appropriate staff members. While these programs focus on language and area studies, they also involve students and faculty from law, business, agriculture, education, journalism, veterinary medicine, as well as the arts and sciences.

Center for International Trade & Security
CITS carries out its mission by engaging and informing policymakers, industry representatives, educators, students, and the general public, both in the United States and abroad, about the dangers of trade in and theft of weapons and weapons components.

College of Public Health
The College of Public Health at the University of Georgia promotes health in human populations through innovative research, exemplary education, and engaged service dedicated to preventing disease and injury within the state and around the world. The College offers programs in biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, health policy and management, health promotion and behavior, public health, and toxicology.

Faculty of Engineering
The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Georgia is a new kind of engineering school organized to capture the convergence of scientific and engineering disciplines. Unlike conventional engineering schools where faculty members are appointed to an engineering department, UGA engineering faculty are housed in academic units throughout campus. In addition, engineering faculty at other universities and engineers in the private sector are encouraged to participate.

Georgia Center for Continuing Education
The Georgia Center provides outstanding educational programs and services, connecting the University with lifelong learners throughout the world. The Center designs, develops and delivers a variety of educational programs to meet the learning needs of a diverse population, offering a dynamic learning environment and an ideal on-campus location for classes, conferences or special events.

Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce
The Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce seeks to contribute to the development and improvement of economic, commercial and financial relations between India and the Southeastern United States, particularly the State of Georgia. A multi-faceted strategy revolves around networking, education, and opportunity.

India Study Abroad
To be offered Winter Break 2009-2010, India Study Abroad is a four-week, credit-bearing study abroad course focusing on sustainability and international issues concerning India. Students will attend lectures and participate in a number of excursions. Destination cities include Delhi, Mumbai, Thiruvanthapuram, Aurangabad, Chennai, and Kochi.

The Office of Institutional Diversity seeks to ensure a University of Georgia where people of many different backgrounds and perspectives join together to actively advance knowledge. The newly formed Office of Service-Learning is supported jointly by the Office of the Vice President for Instruction and the Office of the Vice President for Service and Outreach. This collaboration seeks to increase incorporation of service-learning activities in the curriculum and to promote academically based engagement of students.

University of Georgia Alumni Association
The Alumni Association connects UGA alumni worldwide who gather together through community service projects, networking opportunities and leisure activities. The Association also funds scholarships and fellowships for outstanding UGA students and provides assistance to many campus programs. The collective membership of thousands of fellow UGA alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends enhance the Association's ability to serve and support the academic excellence, best interests and traditions of the University.

Vice President for Public Service and Outreach
The service mission of the University of Georgia has its roots in the mid-nineteenth century, when the school reconfigured itself to meet the needs of a changing society and economy. The land-grant university tradition strengthened that commitment and introduced the concept that state-supported higher education should be broadly accessible to all classes of Americans.
