Student Organizations - Starting New Organizations and Joining ISL

Starting a New Student Organization at UGA
For students interested in starting a brand new student organization, visit the Campus Life website for instructions regarding UGA’s process for creating a new student group.

Join the ISL Umbrella
Typically, ISL advises up to thirty student organizations each semester.  New groups wishing to join the ISL umbrella must participate in an interview process with ISL staff.  During this interview, potential groups are advised concerning ISL services and policies.  They also receive information regarding organizational responsibilities for groups under the ISL umbrella.  Depending on the time of year there may be a waiting list for organizations wishing to join ISL, so contact our staff early for an appointment.
