Core Faculty: Juanita Johnson-Bailey
Dr. Juanita Johnson-Bailey, Professor of Lifelong Education, Administration & Policy and Women's Studies, earned her B.A.
from Mercer University and her M.Ed., Ed.D., and graduate certificate
in Women's Studies from the University of Georgia. She recently
published Flat-Footed Truths: Telling Black Women's Lives,
co-edited with Dr. Patricia Bell-Scott. Dr. Johnson-Bailey's most
recent book is Sistahs in College: Making a Way Out of No Way,
which won the 2002 Frandson Award for Literature in Continuing
education. Dr. Johnson-Bailey was the first teacher of Multicultural
Perspectives on Women in the United States, and also teaches Introduction
to Feminist Theories and Feminist Pedagogy. She has presented papers
at conferences such as the American Educational Research Association
and the International Standing Conference on Research and Teaching
in Adult Education.
