Miller
Dr. Patricia Miller is
Professor of Psychology and Women's Studies and Department Head
of Psychology. She was Director of Women's Studies at UGA
2001-2005. Before coming to UGA, she was Professor and Associate
Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University
of Florida. She is the author or co-author of numerous journal
articles and four books, Theories of Developmental Psychology ; Cognitive
Development ; Conceptual Development ; and Toward
a Feminist Developmental Psychology . Her research interests
center around cognitive development, social cognitive development,
theories of development, and gender. Her research examines
cognitive development and gender. Dr. Miller is President-Elect of Division 7 (Developmental) of the American Psychological Association and is a Fellow of the APA and the American Psychological Society. She
has received research grants from the National Institutes of
Health and the National Science Foundation. She is Associate Editor
of the journal Child Development.
