Coffee Hour + Literary Society News

Hi all!

Japan Club will be hosting ISL’s Coffee Hour on November 6! Coffee Hour is a weekly event hosted by International Student Life to promote various internationally-minded student organizations, allow students to fellowship and eat some great food! :D As usual, Japan will be preparing some homemade Japanese dishes to serve.

To plan what we’ll be making, when and where we’ll be shopping, and cooking, and to get volunteers to help with everything, we’ll be having a meeting on tomorrow, October 28 in SLC/MLC room 153, at 6:00PM. Please come with your ideas, recipes, and willingness to lend a hand!

In other news, our new offshoot book club, the Japanese Literary Society, has announced its first title for discussion. It is
Japanese Culture and Communication: Critical Cultural Analysis by Ray T. Donahue. Here is an Amazon link. For more information on the Japanese Literary Society, please check out the official Facebook group here.
