Strengthening the UGA Community Through the Education of Our Students

As a unit within the Division of Student Affairs, the mission of the Office of Judicial Programs is to enhance the learning environment for members of the University of Georgia community. This is accomplished by:

  • Educating University of Georgia students and student organizations about their rights, responsibilities and expectations as members of a community.
  • Providing a fair and educational process for students and student organizations through which alleged violations of the University Code of Conduct are resolved.
  • Creating opportunities for student learning and development.
  • Offering outreach services to educate faculty, staff and other community partners about the role of our office and the Code of Conduct.

The Code of Conduct has been developed by the Office of Judicial Programs to provide useful information to students and student organizations who have been charged with violating a University conduct regulation. All procedures for responding to possible violations of conduct regulations, including specifics of the judicial process, a listing of possible sanctions, and the appeals procedures are included in the Code of Conduct. These procedures have been established to ensure due process and fundamental fairness to all involved in the University's judicial processes.
