Caitlin's tool is her body, and her message is her soul. She hopes to communicate her inner experience through intimate repetition; she has layered the surfaces of these pieces with her own body-prints to create a texture that is both consistent and complex. Caitlin has been influenced by the etchings of Jennifer Anderson as well as the works of Kiki Smith and Leslie Dill.
