WHAT TO PREPARE AND TO BRING TO THE WORKSHOP

1.  If possible bring a Laptop computer ( and if you have  available a portable printer ) and a disk.
     Also if you have, a telefon-connecting cable for internet access in case you want to get a publication or other info from the web.
     The conference site, unfortunately,  does not have hardwired access to the internet nor any computer. The connections to the
      internet  are via long distance phone, so you can only use it sparingly. Sorry about this inconvenience.

2. Overhead transparencies with INFORMATION on calls for proposals from suitable granting agencies (see also future funding)
3.  Lists  (if possible prepared on overhead transparencies ) with the INFO on:

a)  what are your main issues for research in Kamchatka
b)  what  you want to do in Kamchatka
c)  where in Kamchatka you want to do it and
d)  what are the requirements for your research in Kamchatka (e.g., required facilities) and suggestions how to obtain
     these.
e)  suggested cooperations
4. If you are a Kamchatka veteran, you may be want to bring some photos from your previous visit(s) to share in the evening
    or breaks.

5.  Remember you need to use either overhead  transparencies or slides for any presentation. There is NO powerpoint projector.
 

6. Print out the program and bring it with you or copy it onto your lap top computer.
 

7.  Remember the weather in Yellowstone can change fast any time of the year, so bring some warm clothes with you.
