Safe Space is a part of Lambda Alliance to get faculty and staff aquainted with LGBT issues. Safe Space's is a campus-wide initiative that offers a visible message of inclusion, acceptance, and support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in the University community.
The program offers participants a three-hour orientation to raise awareness and knowledge of LGBT issues and to suggest ways to serve as an ally to LGBT individuals. Following the orientation, participants receive a Resource Guide to augment their learning, and a Safe Space decal to display in their work or living space.
