Orientation

Special Instructions for Learning Community Students

Incoming first-year students attend an on-campus orientation program during the summer before they come to UGA.  Four orientation sessions in the summer of 2008 are specially designed for students participating in residential learning communities.

It is strongly recommended that students participating in learning communities choose to attend one of the following orientation sessions:

  • June 9 and 10, 2008
  • June 25 and 26, 2008
  • July 7 and 8, 2008
  • July 23 and 24, 2008

If you attend some other orientation session, we will still be there to provide useful information and to help you with questions.

Participation in the learning communities offers many advantages to beginning your career at UGA. One of these advantages is the chance to register for three classes all at once – as a block – when you attend orientation. This helps make your first registration easy. This opportunity is only available to students participating in learning communities!
