Libertarians of UGA

LUGA Goes to Atlanta
The Advocates 20th Anniversary

The Advocates for Self-Government held their 20th Anniversary at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel and the Libertarians of UGA were there to volunteer. Pictured at left with Mr. Harry Browne (left to right) are Steven, Kevin, Collin, and Tiago.

We were overwhelmed at the number of powerful speakers including Harry Browne, Michael Cloud, Marshall Fritz, David Bergland, and a host of other movers and shakers in the libertarian movement. We were especially proud of our positive reception and the extremely helpful staff on hand. It was an opportunity of a lifetime, and one we will never forget! For those of you who are not yet familiar with The Advocates, they distribute the World's Smallest Political Quiz, which has been taken online over 5 million times! They also maintain a list of libertarian celebrities, and host Libertarianism.com, a wonderful introduction to liberty to refer a friend to...

Libertarian Website Returns!

Jokes about the website are no longer being accepted. I have finally updated our entire website with my brand-spanking new laptop! You will now be able to add this page as your own homepage, because it now has a Google search function, news resources, and links for friends new to liberty.

Also, a link to our blog has been established in the top navigation. This blog feed is RSS feed enabled, so if you use FireFox, you can see what has been added without even checking the page! I hope you will post to the messageboards (again) and read the executive blog where Kevin, Steven, and Tiago will post their own random thoughts.

Meetings at Hot Corner Coffee

The Libertarians of UGA will start this semester's meetings at Hot Corner Coffee. The date/time have moved however to facilitate more members. The meetings will begin promptly at 8:00 PM on Thursdays. For those not familiar with the location of Hot Corner Coffee:

Walk from the Arch (with the campus at your back), make a left and walk to the intersection of Lumpkin Street. Make a right on to Lumpkin Street and start walking. The Georgia Theater will be on your left. Continue until you get to Washington Street and make a left. Hot Corner will be on the left, past the Morton Theater. We usually meet in the right-side room. Just look for my ugly mug, and I am 6’8 so I kind of stand out.
