Working Waterfronts

More people are enjoying the coast every year. They spend vacations, bring boats, collect  seafood, and some move their entire households to the coast. This is great for parts of our economy but problems arise when different users compete for the same resources. With the increasing use of waterfront property for residences with great views, commercial fishermen along the Georgia coast are finding fewer places to dock. MAREX has joined the coast wide movement to weigh coastal uses and retain a sufficient amount of waterfront  property for businesses that require access, while recognizing that recreational and residential uses are important as well.
