The facility is equipped with an ABI 4700 Proteomics Analyzer (MALDI/TOF-TOF) mass spectrometer for performing matrix assisted laser desorption ionization (MALDI) TOF analysis and is also capable of doing MALDI M-MS analysis. This instrument is made for high performance analysis of tryptic digests and looking at peptide fingerprints (trypsin digests of proteins). Protocols for doing in gel digestion is located under protocols in the left hand directory.
