Construction advisory: Spec Towns Track. The Spec Towns Track will be closed for maintenance and renovation from June 25 through the month of December. Through Wednesday, December 30, 2009.

Construction Advisory: Milledge and Prince Avenues. Sponsored by Georgia Department of Transportation. A state DOT contractor will mill and repave Georgia Highway 15-Alternate through Athens. This includes South Milledge Avenue beginning at the Loop northward to Prince Avenue, then north on Prince Avenue to Lavendar Road. Work will be done six nights a week from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. nightly. Construction advisory: State Botanical Garden horticulture complex. Work is underway on a new $2.5 million horticulture complex, a mostly behind-the-scenes support facility for the 312-acre public garden, that will include outdoor growing areas, greenhouses, spaces for equipment repair and storage, and staff offices. Georgia Museum of Art galleries closed. Due to an extensive expansion and renovation, the Georgia Museum of Art gallery spaces are closed, with reopening scheduled for early 2011.
