COMMUNICATIONS SUBCOMMITTEE PURPOSE STATEMENT

The purpose of the Communications Subcommittee is to communicate information relevant to multicultural issues and developments associated with the College of Education Multicultural Initiative and Task Force to:

(a) the COE faculty, staff and students,
(b) other UGA offices, centers and departments,
(c) community agencies (e.g., community schools), and
(d) other colleges or universities.

COMMUNICATIONS SUBCOMMITTEE ACTIVITIES

Currently this purpose is achieved by:

(a) disseminating a newletter,
(b) posting of email communications,
(c) sending letters and memos,
(d) providing a web page,
(e) using a bulletin board near the entrance in Aderhold Hall
(f) sharing of information through the Annual COE Multicultural Conference, and
(g) seminars and discussion groups among faculty, staff and students.
