MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM
SUBCOMMITTEE ACTIVITIES

In the past two years, the MCTF has focused on curriculum issues related to multicultural education.  Departments have been asked to develop plans for how they will infuse multicultural education content into programs and courses.  In July 1998, the Faculty Senate adopted a plan for college implementation the University-wide cultural diversity requirement which all undergraduate and graduate students must meet in the programs of study.

Other work of the committee has included helpng departments work on examining and revising their curricula through providing articles, disseminating results of a college-wide survey on what other departments are doing, and by consulting.
