Students in UGA's Food Science Club celebrated their love of food by holding The Great Pumpkin Bake-off Oct. 29. Entrants transformed cans of pumpkin puree into donuts, mini pumpkin pies, pumpkin gelato, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin penne and even a pumpkin cake inside a pumpkin made of chocolate, made by Julianne Bierwirth, above.

Bulldogs go on the road to Jacksonville
The Georgia Bulldog football team will play the University of Florida Nov. 1 at 3:30 p.m. at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. CBS will televise the game
Botanical Garden to have Fall Festival
The State Botanical Garden of Georgia will have its Fall Festival Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to noon in the space that will become known as the Forest Play area of the Children's Garden. Donations for the Children's Garden will be accepted.
