Who We Are
We, the Multicultural Greek Council, are a council representing a proud and dynamic minority: the multicultural Greek community. We, the MGC at UGA were founded by three fraternal organizations: Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., an Asian-interest sorority; Lambda Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Inc., an Asian-interest fraternity; and Sigma Beta Rho Fraternity, Inc., a Multicultural fraternity. Today we are consisted of our founding members in addition to Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc., a Latina-interest sorority, Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity, Inc., and Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc., a South-Asian Interest Sorority. The MGC is a unifying body, an umbrella organization, for these five fraternal organizations. Together, we are united by our aspirations to increase awareness of our respective cultures, to serve the Athens community, and to maintain high academic standards.
