PLAYER BIOS

Omar Hajmurad- Omar is the fearless captain of this year’s squad, he excels at scheduling games and sponsorship recruitment. Known for his predator-like tactics in keep-away games and powerful boots towards goal. Also dresses sharp, and would appreciate $28.

Dave Petermann- CoCaptain Dave can be found soaring across the field like a Boeing 747 navigating his way toward any aerial ball.  Is one of few seniors on campus on the meal plan, and just began a new work-out plan.

Joey Ranieri- Social Captain Joey supposedly organizes many social functions for the team. Is an avid Halo player and is convinced he lives in Miami. On the field Joey can be found cruising the sidelines like a C-Class Benz…

Chris Roane- Chris, known as “Tomahawk” by his teammates for his way to slice through narrow alleyways, enjoys accounting. He is left-footed, and lists Taco Bell as his his drive for success.

Phil Stice- Phil is a phreshman, and is regarded as the best player to ever come out of Athens city limits in the last century. Once scored 4 goals in one game, he maintains that his best skill as a player is keeping his phone number hidden from other team members.

Devin Mizelle- Devin is the 2^nd oldest player in UGA club soccer history, needing one more season to break the record. He turned down many other soccer and career related opportunities to continue the dream here at UGA. Other talents include Irish dancing, and the study of ancient Aztecs.

Samir Talbi- Samir is the unquestioned master of deceptiveness. Once tricked an entire team into believing he would pull off a bicycle kick from half field. He maintains a positive attitude that is invaluable to the team.

Steven Willis- Willis is often referenced as a tank for his ability to trample foes with unstoppable force. He can often be seen running down the field on his hands, and can boot the ball powerfully to the near post.

Mark Thiel- Mark’s last name is pronounced (T-ee-l), similar to the color, and enjoys voicemails. He is also known as Bleen or Grue and recently discovered a love for ChooChoo’s.

Dan LeCates- a spark to UGA’s offense, known to himself as “The Cannon” for his deep throw-ins and hamstring cramps. Dan has many training jerseys, great speed, and a knack for finding open space outside the field of play. Looks good with a mustache and consumes over 12 Pop-Ice’s per day.

Doug Minton- was once thought to be a model by many members of the team, struggled to convince everyone that he was in fact, not. Has both finesse and good grades, is known for providing the team with laughs and occasionally making up words. Is referred to as “the dumbest smart person I know”.

Hunter Ragone- an offensive catalyst, known for his short bursts of intense energy and spirit. Is injury prone and looking forward to having a healthy senior season. Once set a record for most money spent in 32 seconds.

Aaron Lee- a hit with the ladies, Aaron has the largest fan club on the team. Is the inspiration of fans’ mysterious cheers, many supporters chant his name even when he is merely training. Aaron has a band and likes hugs.

Brennan Schupp- the master of destruction Brennan can burn mustard and shut down an entire offense on his own. Can throw the ball magnificent distances and is clever at making aliases when venturing around Athens to play down his celebrity status.

Patrick Walsh- a first year team member, is quiet but ferocious. Is adept at slides, and boots. Sometimes has an injured ankle.

Jordan Franklin- the brains of the UGA team. Is an experienced coach, leading his U9’s to weekend glory time and time again. An organizational and free-kick specialist. Legend has it that his heart is locked inside a calculator at Georgia Tech.

Andrew Pott- likes concerts, and has a tattoo as well as a beard.

Peter Dinh- cat-like quickness makes him sneaky on defense and a dart with the ball. Plays several positions and had a nice assist in the UF tournament.

Chris Deved- lateral movement is impeccable. Known for making saves with any body part, including his face. Has a lazer-rocket arm, and maintains boyish good looks in the most pressure-packed situations. Currently working toward growing facial hair.
