The University of Georgia Odum School of Ecology will present a 4-day environmental film festival at Ciné in downtown Athens Oct. 23-26. Open to the public, EcoFocus will feature world-class environmental films, as well as children’s programming, Q&A sessions with film directors and more.

UGA leader named to 40 Under 40
Allison Bracewell McCullick, UGA Coordinator of Health Initiatives, has been named to the 2008 list of 40 Under 40 by Georgia Trend magazine. Finalists are profiled in the magazine’s October issue cover story and online at www.georgiatrend.com. The magazine seeks individuals from around the state who are making an impact in fields such as business, politics, nonprofits, academia, healthcare and the arts. “Each year, the 40 Under 40 finalists represent the ‘best and brightest’ among the rising young leaders in our state,” says Georgia Trend publisher Neely Young. “It’s good to know the future of Georgia is in their hands.”
